One of the things that goes into calculating the amount of child support a party pays is the amount of time that they are projected to spend with the children. If that party, again, spends more time with the children than what was originally ordered, and if that amount of time is significant, then that could form the basis of a modification for the child support amount. Again, all of this depends on the particular circumstances of the case. However, it could form the basis of a modification of the monetary amount.
