To truly clear your criminal record would be something called “expungement”. And to qualify for expungement, you would have to have not committed a crime anywhere in the world, including the state of Florida, and have been convicted of that crime. If you’ve not been convicted of a crime anywhere, then you could qualify for it, depending upon the type of crime that it is. So, assuming that the charges were dismissed or otherwise disposed of prior to having to go to trial, or what have you, then you can qualify for the process and go through it.

There’s another option called “sealing”, which doesn’t truly clear the record, but it does seal it off from most sources. The public wouldn’t be able to see it, but certain government entities could, and all that. And the restrictions on that one are a little bit less. However, under no cases can you have been convicted of a crime anywhere and qualify for any sort of sealing or expungement.
