Depending on what issues you need to discuss or resolve, that’s going to depend on what you might need to bring. If financial issues are going to be discussed, I would bring the documentation of your finances. I would also bring maybe documentation of childcare costs or other things if you’re going to consider child support. One of the best thing to prepare for a mediation though is to work out and think about possible resolutions, maybe an offer that you want to make to the other side. That can help the mediator initiate that conversation about what terms you’re willing to accept or what the other side’s willing to accept as a possible resolution to your case.
